A district of polymetallic Ag-Pb-Zn veins in the Catalan Coastal Ranges. The late-Variscan hydrothermal mineralisation is hosted in Palaeozoic schists and associated granites. Priorat is best known today for its wines, but it had an important mining history in the 19th and 20th centuries.
