A major active silver mine in Morocco, operated by the Société métallurgique d'Imiter (Managem group). It is hosted in Cryogenian black shales of the Saghro Group and Ediacaran volcanics of the Ouarzazate Group. The hydrothermal veins and breccias are rich in silver (up to 485 g/t in the Igoudrane sub-district) and formed in three main stages, at the end of the Ediacaran (about 550 Ma).
