Carbonatite

A rare igneous rock made of more than half carbonate minerals, derived from the mantle and emplaced in continental rifts. It concentrates rare earths and niobium.

Composition

Minerals: calcite, dolomite, ankerite, siderite, apatite, bastnäsite, monazite, pyrochlore.
