Sediment-hosted stratiform copper (Cambrian)

Copper deposit of the Cambrian Timna Formation, mined since the Chalcolithic. Copper comes from Precambrian rocks and dykes of the Timna Intrusive Complex, redistributed into the sediments and then oxidised to malachite and paratacamite.
